1. Scope of processed data

• Account data: e-mail address (for registration or login purposes).
• Device and sensor data: paired device identifier, measurement data (e.g., temperature, humidity, voltage), timestamp.
• Settings: threshold values, notification permissions, language.
• Technical logs: crash and performance data to improve application stability (in a non-identifiable format).

2. Purposes and legal basis for data processing

• Operation of the Application and provision of services (pairing devices, sending alerts) – GDPR Article 6(1)(b) (performance of a contract).
• Features based on user consent (push notifications) – GDPR Article 6(1)(a).
• Legitimate interest (prevention of abuse, IT security) – GDPR Article 6(1)(f).

3. Data storage and security

Data is stored on secure servers, with access restricted by strict authorization management. Communication is encrypted (TLS). We perform regular backups.

4. Data transfer, data processors

We do not sell personal data to third parties, nor do we transfer it for advertising purposes. The Data Controller may use appointed data processors (e.g., hosting providers) who act solely for the purpose of fulfilling the contract and under the instructions of the Data Controller.

5. Duration of data retention

• Account data: until the account is deleted.
• Sensor and event data: for as long as necessary to provide the service; thereafter, it may be kept in an anonymized form for statistical purposes.
• Log data: maximum 12 months.

6. Data subject rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and the right to object. You may submit your request to info@zendogs.hu. Data processing based on consent lasts until the withdrawal of consent; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to the withdrawal.

7. Right to lodge a complaint

In case of infringement of your rights, you may lodge a complaint with the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, address: 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa u. 9-11., web: www.naih.hu), and you may turn to the courts.

8. Protection of children's data

The Application is not intended for children under 13, and we avoid the conscious collection of their data. If such data collection comes to light, we will delete it immediately.

9. International data transfer

Data is processed within the European Economic Area. Should a transfer of data to a third country become necessary in the future, it will be carried out under appropriate safeguards (GDPR Chapter V).

10. Account deletion

You may request the deletion of your account within the Application or by contacting info@zendogs.hu. Upon deletion, personal data will also be deleted, with exceptions arising from legal obligations.

11. Cookies

The Application itself does not use browser cookies. The cookie policy of the https://zendogs.hu website is described in a separate web policy.

12. Amendments

The Data Controller may update this statement from time to time. We will publish changes in the Application and/or on the website. This version is effective as of: November 5, 2025.
